The legalization of marijuana

Should it really be legalized? Why or why not?

Personally, I smoke weed on occasion. I don't do it on a daily basis nor am I "addicted" to it. I like smoking weed because it relaxes me and makes me an overall happier person for that 4+ hours of being high. I find that, when high, everything I do is much more enjoyable. Whether it be listening to music, eating, watching TV, writing/recording music or just spacing out, I find myself a much happier and more relaxed person.

I don't care what these anti-smoking companies and anti-drug commercials say, weed can't fucking kill you. I'm so sick and tired of hearing that weed causes death because it isn't weed that causes death, it's the people smoking it. You have the dumb fucks who smoke weed and do stupid shit, thus giving weed a bad reputation. I still have yet to put a gun in my mouth or get in to a car accident while high. If anything I'm too fucking busy laughing my ass off or munching down on some candy.

There's millions of people who smoke weed every day, and there hasn't been one case of death just by simply smoking weed. There's a lot more behind those commercials and ads you see every day about how harmful weed is.

But anyway, I think weed should be legalized. There's so much of the shit that if the Government just slapped a tax on the shit, they'd make tons of money. I'm not sure what the big fucking deal is. I think weed is legal in my state (Illinois) for medical purposes, though.

Putting people away for drugs (weed included) is a multi-billion dollar business. It's more than just "if the government can make money by taxing it". Cops, lawyers, prisons, and all the people surrounding them are involved.

Just get a med. card and quit your bitching. At least you don't have to worry about 10+ years for a heroin deal.

Oh no, it wasn't like that man. I was just saying if you don't like the idea that you can be busted for it, getting a med. card is a better (though fucking expensive) option. You also get to buy shit like weed soda, edibles, concentrates, hash... Shit's nice.

i think the world would be perfectly fine if weed was legal....but im assuming that drug dealers would still have better weed than industries...street dope is pure...if it was sold out of stores it would be labeled along the lines of alcohol...marijuana is a gift and i treasure every bit of resin in my lungs and all the good times that come with it....i wouldnt mind some kush right about now

I agree tho weed should be legalized. Katt Williams said it best and I dunno the exact quote but its sumthin like
