Default Recording better vocals

Like the title says, how could i record better vocals??

My friend said that my breaths are way too noticeable and long, how could i eliminate it. Should i turn my head when breathing? Should i eliminate breaths when mixing?

I'm using reflection filter for sound treatment. Is it worth it or not??

When recording, should the waveform look less spiky? Like i know i need to emphasize emotion but when the sound is all over the place it doesn't sound that good.

How far i should be from the mic and where it should be placed?

well first of all its not necessary to take your head away from the mic when you breath just trim the breath noise when you mix the song,

how far away you should be from the mic that depends on what mic you have, and what kind of sound card do you have, how much volume do you let from the sound card.

if you have big spikes in the audio try using a smaller volume from the sound card and you being closer to the mic, also use a pop filter

tell me more about your setup? mic using , sound card, preamp, whatever ure using!
you can make the best out of your setup no matter what it is!

Treat ya breath like any other syllable and leave enough space in ya bars to breath, breath is important with flow so don’t hack it off.

to add to this , if you take your breaths in a certain part of the beatt, it will be less noticeable, don't really take your breaths where there's nothing going on in the beat or its more noticeable.

No no the breath adds to the beat syllable structure it makes ya flow sound sick its like an extra multi measure controlled breath
