Xxxsetra and Last Sess vs. Serious Flo, a battle of egos spills on to the audio board in the spring of 2007. Comments & Interviews Xxxsetra: I didn't know of Serious Flo until I came to Rap Royalty. I liked him in the beginning, he had some pretty dope drops and they were more personal than anything. Those were his best songs, I wish he would do more of them. But I remember when he started doing more commercialized songs, I wasn't really feeling it. I thought he was selling out, but what I didn't realize from his point of view is that, commercial is what the people want. But I was too ignorant to see that, until we battled, and he beat me. And his diss to me, showed me he was more than the average emcee I thought he turned out to be. It showed me that even though he went commercial, deep inside there was that raw emcee waiting to emerge and murk, beneath the exterior, there was still that raw emcee I once knew. So after the battle, we came to realize each other's views on rap and music, and we saw the best in each other. And I have to say, in the end, Serious Flo is a respectable emcee, once you see how far he has actually came, he deserves this spot in the Hall Of Fame. Kremlin: never really talked much with SERIOUS FLO..we didnt really get along..but hez gone on to accomplish sum real big shit, despite wat otherz may think an call him..nobody else has really made tha movez he has..an when he dropped his diss to XXXSETRA he really showed dat he still got it an so otherz gotta take notice..hez been around a long time, put his text an audio skill to use an look at where it has takin him to placez alotta ppl want to be in..congratz to u SERIOUS FLO, keep doin ur thang, haterz can keep hatin but it aint gunna stop ur music frum bein made.. Dispution: It's Serious Flo, long time member, one of the few originals still around and going on to some big things. Prime example if you work hard enough and really want something you can achieve it. He'll catch some heat as people will call him a "sell out," for doing the same thing people want him to do -- tell the truth. When he does it some aren't satisfied... but love him or hate him, you got to respect him -- we'll always stand his ground. He did a lot for NNF/RR, he deserves to be remember for his quick wit, battling skills, a leader, a teacher, and his prominent rise to the top so far. Congrats, man -- keep up the good work. 3 Point Blank: A lot of you may not know me, but I am 3 Point Blank. Creator of Nasti Nati Freestyle, along with Dispution, which later evolved into Rap-Royalty. Serious Flo- Where do I start? I've know him since Day 1, from Net54, to ConForums, and now RR. Serious Flo started writing text, battling, and we even battled a few times. He was always one of the top textees, on every site. I remember Flo holding several titles, and was always a competitor. Now.. Serious Flo has elevated into much more. He has advanced to audio, and has produced four mixtapes, thus far. Also, he is well known locally, and is really doin' big things. I remember burning his CD's and playing them in my car. Flo has always been a good friend of mine throughout the whole online rapping era, and I'm glad to see him succeed in the real life. I've been around a long time, to see Flo with his ups and downs in his rapping career. However, I would have to say he is one of the best out there, and I give him all the props I can, because he deserves it. Congrats FLO! - 3 Point Blank J-Oh: I wouldn't be here, if it weren't for him. This guy's a teacher, I bought the same equipment as him just because he sounded good in it. Looked up to him when he was battling still. Even learned alot from the music industry by listening to what he has to say. If he losses his voice, he will be a label exec, that how much music means to him. If you can't respect that, I don't know what you can. Though he slowed down battling, when he came back to battle X, he kinda showed everyone he still has it. He's driven and talented, so I'll be looking for ya near the bright lights. Serious Flo is a Rap-Royalty/Nasti Nati Freestyle Legend Induction Speech: I juss wanna say thank you for inducting me. Its been a long road from start to here. Starting out on text forums as a rookie on sites like Infamous, Flows Unlimited, Emcee Central, Heavyweights, Rags 2 Riches, Rap Lagends, Lyrical Blood, Shangri La, C.A., The Original NNF back in 2004. Then elevating and getting better with The new NNF, The New Shang, RD, HHV, RR and so on. Rap-Royalty as a whole represents net rap to me as a whole. I wouldn't be where I am today if it wasn't for net rap. I learned alot of things that I needed, and I also learned alot of things that I didnt need. It helped increase my vocabulary, it helped increase my multis, & it made me think out of the box for punchlines. The most important thing it taught me is that no matter what, there is always someone else - somewhere else that is better than you. The thing that seperates real artists from net artists, is what you do once you reach that point of realization. Cats in underground net forums got rap so twisted that they wont let it untwist and let it air out. The actual music is only about 30% of this game. Lyrics is only about 15% of that. Everything else is Business Moves, Promotiong, Networking, and Marketing. You could be the sickest rapper, with the sickest quality and production, with the sickest hooks and songs on myspace and soundclick, but not go anywhere cuz you dont realize that music is only 30% of this game... This is something you will have to dwell on because I could go on for days about this and you still might not understand. But I can & will say that Net Rap Forums are a good "Starting" place for sharpening up lyrics and taking critism from others. 1 Artist I could use for example is Skiddalz. I found her on RR when she 1st started, I saw a prodigy. A 17 yr old white female MC who could rap like Princess from Crime Mob. I took her under my wing, taught her what I knew about production to make the songs sound better, and gave her an important piece of advice. "Stay away from net battling sites." I say this because when I heard her, Im thinkin to myself... why is she here wasting her time doin little text/audio battles wit cats... she needs to be writin hooks n killer verses and droppin singles workin on a mixtape." She took my advice and never did more than 3 audio battles? Now shes 2 mixtapes into the game, Done more than 10 shows in the STL area and is getting recognition from magazines, & to mention having a song being played on MTV. Otherwise she would still be chillin at home gettin online bout 7 o clock checkin her messages on RR trying to think of who she wants to battle next. Like I said I can go on and on about this shit if you really wanna know. Music is what you make it. If you do it strictly as a hobby, than kool... If you do it to get better and better and see where it takes you than kool.. But me, I wake up eat, live, breathe, think music.... This isnt something I do Its who I am... Alot of kats think im all about commercialism. Dont get it twisted... I make hit songs, but everything I say is true and facts. At The end of the day you gonna know that Serious Flo is gonna be Serious Flo Im still gonna fuck bitches.... and make songs about it.. Im still gonna get paid.... and make songs about it... Im still gonna go to tha club and get into fights.... and make songs about it.. Im still gonna get drunk... and make songs about it.. & Im still gonna be stressed and cope with reality... and make songs about it.. Im not gonna list off everything thats in tha near future for me, because thats not how I want to be remembered, All I want to be remembered for is someone who Came, Helped, Advised, Battled, Argued, Reached, Fell, and Succeeded and will continue to do so. If you DO want to stay updated with me, just hit up my sites, you'll never see me resting. Im always coming with new stuff, new projects, new collabs, new mixtapes. Keep it Rill Rap Royalty, I hope you take the things I say into consideration for your own lives..... and juss live life... ~S.Flo*1 http://www.myspace.com/mistasdotflo http://www.soundclick.com/seriousflo http://www.showcaseyourmusic.com/seriousflo http://www.garageband.com/artist/seriousflo http://www.betarecords.com/serious.flo Free Downloads: Payments and Paychecks featuring: Beneficial, J.
